Springdale Golf Club Membership Director named National Elite Ms. Agriculture USA

Princeton, New Jersey (August 2, 2023) – Growing up in the small farm town of West Amwell, New Jersey, Brittany Ennis has always had an appreciation for and understanding of agriculture. Today, the Membership and Communications Director at Springdale Golf Club in Princeton, Ennis is the newly crowned National Elite Ms. Agriculture USA; taking on an exciting role of educating others about the importance of agriculture.

Ennis recently competed for the state of New Jersey at her first national showing with Miss Agriculture USA. Following two-and-a-half days of competition, she returned from Mantua, Ohio with the 2023 National Elite Ms. Agriculture USA title. Miss Agriculture USA is a national non-profit organization that focuses on positively promoting agriculture. The organization features queens of different ages across the country, who play a much-needed role in educating and celebrating all of the diverse aspects and facets of agriculture.

Ennis first discovered the Miss Agriculture USA organization, while completing Troon’s LEADer Program in 2022. The LEADer Program is an industry-leading 12-month curriculum that combines hands-on learning, interactive webinars, and individual coaching to prepare future leaders for high-level roles within the golf industry. While completing her rotation with Springdale Superintendent Donovan Maguigan and his agronomy staff, she was reminded of her love for agriculture education. Growing up in a rural community, being a product of an ‘ag high school’, and as an active member of the Future Farmers of America, Ennis was inspired by the mentorship of Troon to research ways that she could further give back to an industry that helped shape who she is today.

Now as the 2023 National Elite Ms. Agriculture USA, Ennis will have the opportunity to advocate on a national level by attending, promoting, or hosting agriculture-based events. She greatly looks forward to the impact that she can make through this recent accomplishment.

“It’s an incredible feeling to have your career continue to inspire and support your passions,” said Ennis. “The LEADer Program truly led me to finding Miss Agriculture USA and helped spark the desire to be a positive voice.”

Ennis started as Membership Coordinator at Springdale Golf Club in 2019, and later grew to Membership and Communications Director in 2021. Her position allows her to assist current and prospective members to enjoy the benefits of their membership, while also promoting the historic 128-year-old club located on land that was originally Richard Stockton Farm (a signee of the Declaration of Independence), and adjacent to the Princeton University campus.
