The Ocean Course Hōkūala brings world’s most realistic simulator golf to Hawaii

Hōkūala Social Club featuring Golfzon technology opens Nov. 20

(KAUA’I, HI.) Timbers Kaua‘i, home of the famed Ocean Course Hōkūala, announces the opening of a brand-new golf simulator lounge featuring the first Golfzon TwoVision in Hawaii, the most advanced simulator model in the world, which will open November 20.

The Hōkūala Social Club combines life-like virtual golf with a full-service bar along with ample seating and flat-screen TVs to create the ultimate social experience. Perfect for parties and large gatherings, the lounge will feature live musical performances on occasion, and the bar offers a unique selection of hand-crafted cocktails and food options. Indoor Birdie Hawaii, the islands’ exclusive retailer of Golfzon simulator technology, helped to bring the vision to life.

To celebrate the opening on November 20, the Hōkūala Social Club will host a launch event complete with competitions and games on the Golfzon simulator, including longest drive and closest to the pin challenges, as well as three-hole mini-tournaments.

“Ocean Course Hōkūala is excited to showcase the number one simulator in golf here at Hokuala a Timbers Resort,” says Thomas Freestone, PGA Director of Golf Operations at Ocean Course Hokuala. “Our team has prepared a full immersion golf experience to include unreal simulated golf provided by Golfzon’s TwoVision simulator along with Kaua’ian-inspired craft cocktails that are only matched by the warmth of the atmosphere at the new Hōkūala Social Club.”

Open seven days a week from 9 am to 7 pm, the lounge and simulator bays will be available to the public via reservations starting at $100/hr. Bookings can be made online at or over the phone at 1.808.241.6000. Special event reservations can be made through Golf lessons from the Ocean Course Hōkūala’s world-class team of professionals and teachers are also available.
