Boxto welcomes seven new independent sales reps

Addition of industry veterans bolsters brand’s presence in key U.S. markets as it prepares for landmark 2024

THE WOODLANDS, Texas – Boxto – manufacturer of premium handcrafted leather golf shoes and belts – has appointed seven new independent sales reps for territories across the U.S. as it prepares for a landmark 2024.

All of the new reps enjoy decades of industry experience, affording them deep connections with buyers ranging from green grass shops to big box retailers. The new team members are:

John Adams (Hawaii and Southern California, plus Cabo San Lucas, Mexico) has been a constant presence on the West Coast golf scene for more than 30 years. An accomplished player, he has qualified for four U.S. Mid-Amateur Championships and caddied on the PGA, Champions and LPGA Tours.

Craig Cowles (New England) enjoys more than 20 years of golf sales experience. He was also the long-time head golf coach at Elms College in Chicopee, Massachusetts, building a Division III program that won both NECC and ECAC championships.

Mike Holub (Illinois and Wisconsin) is a former golf professional who has partnered with a number of high-end apparel and accessory brands during his career. He resides in Northbrook, Illinois.

Kelly Malott (Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, Washington, D.C.) is also a former golf professional who transitioned to a career in sales more than a decade ago. He enjoys watching his 19-year-old son play college basketball at Staunton, Virginia’s Mary Baldwin University.

Gary Martin (Arizona, Nevada, Northern California) has worked with many of golf’s best known brands since 1987. His many accolades include being named the Northern California PGA’s Salesperson of the Year in 2016.

Dean Middleton (New York, New Jersey and Fairfield County, Connecticut) has been based in the Tri-State area for decades and partnered with myriad world-class soft- and hard-good brands.

Justin Small (Coastal South Carolina, Florida, Georgia) was the long-time golf shop manager at Maine’s Northeast Harbor Golf Club before a recent move to Florida. He now resides in Naples with his wife, Samantha, who is a PGA professional, and young daughter.

“We’ve got big goals for Boxto in 2024 and have assembled an outstanding sales team to help us reach them,” says Raul Flores, CEO of Boxto. “As our boots on the ground, these gentlemen will be critical to our success in the U.S.’s biggest and most important golf markets.”

Launched at the 2023 PGA Merchandise Show, Boxto makes premium leather golf shoes and belts. All Boxto products are handcrafted in Leon, Mexico, a city famous for its nearly 500-year-old leatherworking heritage. This proximity to the U.S. and Canada allows for lower order minimums and shorter delivery lead times than those of industry competitors. Abundant customization options are also available and complete the bespoke Boxto experience. This commitment to craft and customization is epitomized by ambassador relationships with major champion and 2024 Presidents Cup captain Jim Furyk, PGA Tour winner Kurt Kitayama and LPGA star Charley Hull.
