La Paloma Country Club recognized as 'Distinguished Club' by Boardroom Magazine

Tucson, Ariz. (January 8, 2024) – La Paloma Country Club in Tucson, Ariz. has been awarded the prestigious ‘Distinguished Club’ designation by BoardRoom magazine in partnership with Forbes Travel Guide. Each year, BoardRoom magazine, the official publication of the Association of Private Club Directors, recognizes a select number of exceptional private clubs that exceed expectations in the quality of service, facilities, governance, and most importantly the teamwork of the staff and management. La Paloma is the only country club in Tucson and one of only nine in Arizona to achieve the Distinguished Club distinction, the Hallmark of Excellence for private clubs.

“We are proud to acknowledge the team at La Paloma Country Club for delivering an exceptional member experience for their members,” said John Fornaro, Publisher and Co-founder of BoardRoom Magazine.

Distinguished Clubs is the only merit-based award program for private clubs, where awarding is determined by an impartial formulaic assessment, rather than a mere peer-based vote of industry insiders,  All clubs that have been formally nominated by the Distinguished Clubs Nomination Committee and have been surveyed in person by a Distinguished Clubs survey professional and have earned a satisfactory Net Promoter Score and Member Experience Index, will thereby have earned Distinguished Clubs status. In addition to Distinguished Club status, a club may also be recognized with one of three possible Distinguished Clubs Special Designations, Iconic, Elite or Exceptional.

“The Distinguished Club award is a highly esteemed recognition within the private club industry,” said Troon Executive Vice President Rob DeMore. “This achievement is a testament to the level of excellence and the extraordinary service the La Paloma Country Club team provides, the appeal of the enhanced facilities, and the vibrant nature of the club. Congratulations to La Paloma’s staff and thank you to the members for their incredible support.”

Nestled in the Santa Catalina Mountains, La Paloma Country Club is Tucson’s premier private club, featuring 27-holes of Jack Nicklaus Signature golf. La Paloma is the new home of the PGA TOUR Champions Cologuard Classic by Exact Sciences, scheduled to be played March 8 – 10, 2024. Club members enjoy a host of recently elevated amenities, including an expanded clubhouse, event and activities lawn, halfway house, a Toptracer Range and fitness center. In addition to golf amenities, La Paloma members enjoy 10 tennis courts, four pickleball courts, access to five food and beverage venues, a junior Olympic-sized swimming pool, a five-pool aquatic playground, and the La Paloma Spa & Salon.  Managed by Troon Privé, the private club operating division of Troon, La Paloma Country Club is part of the beautiful 250-acre Westin La Paloma Resort and Spa.
