SuperStroke congratulates Matthieu Pavon on clutch maiden victory at the Farmers Insurance Open

First-time PGA Tour champ uses SuperStroke’s Claw® 1.0 putter grip in one-stroke win

Wixom, MI – SuperStroke, the No. 1 Putter Grip in golf and the leader in innovative Tour-proven golf grip technology, congratulates PGA TOUR rookie and 31-year-old France native Matthieu Pavon on his one-stroke victory and first-ever PGA TOUR win at the Farmers Insurance Open. Pavon drained an eight-foot putt to post a 13-under-par finish and win by a single stroke, earning $1.62 million in first place prize money.

Using a SuperStroke Claw® 1.0 putter grip, Pavon led the tournament field in Strokes Gained: Total and gained nearly six strokes on the field with his putting over the four rounds. With the win, Pavon will be fully exempt to compete on the PGA TOUR through 2026 and has earned a spot in the field at The Masters later this year.

“Matthieu Pavon played and putted brilliantly in his first career win at the Farmers Insurance Open, and the SuperStroke team is extremely proud to congratulate him on a career-changing triumph,” says SuperStroke CEO Dean Dingman. “Matthieu’s clinching putt on the iconic 18th green at Torrey Pines South, with his trusty SuperStroke Claw® 1.0 grip in hand, was thrilling and a fitting end to a well-deserved win.”

SuperStroke Claw® is designed to work with the many variations of the fast-growing, deadly accurate claw putting style. The Claw®’s unique design incorporates a pistol-style top section that helps lock in the upper hand, while its three flat sides increase surface area to accommodate different lower hand positions.
