Boston, Mass. (March 28, 2024) - Sometimes, all you need is a little confidence.
The PGA of America Women’s Clinics series aims to provide that and a whole lot more as the program enters its 33rd season of empowering women through the game of golf. Hosted by 27-time LPGA Tour champion Jane Blalock and led by PGA/LPGA Certified Coaches, this nationwide series of full day golf clinics tailored to women has served more than 48,000 participants since its inception, earning a 99.8% satisfaction rating from 2023 attendees.
“Over 35% of our participants have never held a golf club,” says Blalock, Founder/CEO of the Clinic Series. “We are proud to introduce the game of golf to so many new women each season while providing everyone an opportunity for continued improvement and personal development in a comfortable and relaxed environment. For many, the experience has proven to be life changing.”
At each Clinic, participants receive personalized instruction covering full swing, short game and putting analysis, plus on-course playing lessons.
With a maximum coach student ratio of 8:1, women are paired with the same female PGA/LPGA Certified Coach for the entire day, assuring individualized attention as well as the natural team building and bonding that comes with learning as a group. Additionally, all participants enjoy breakfast, lunch, a professional swing exhibition with Q&A, and a networking reception held at the end of the day.
“In the morning, it’s quiet because everyone is a little nervous,” says Blalock. “By the end of the day, the room is boisterous, energized by so many great conversations and laughter occurring all at once. The transformation is incredible, and it happens at every site.”
Blalock and the PGA of America expect to welcome nearly 1,200 women to the series in 2024. The Clinics will make 12 stops in nine U.S. markets, including Boston, Charlotte, Chicago, Connecticut, Dallas, Florida, New York, New Jersey and San Jose.
“We are passionate about inviting women of all skill levels to experience the joys of golf,” said PGA of America CEO Seth Waugh. “Our aim is to help more women explore golf and build meaningful connections through it. With Jane and her team’s expert guidance, these clinics offer a fantastic chance for women to enhance their skills while making lasting friendships.”
The PGA of America Women’s Clinics schedule begins on Mon., April 29, at The Falls Club of the Palm Beaches in Lake Worth, Fla. The season concludes on Mon., Oct. 21, at Ballantyne Country Club in Charlotte, N.C. All clinics are conducted on Mondays.
“Golf can be somewhat intimidating,” notes PGA Certified Coach Diane Whitman, a frequent provider of instruction at the PGA of America Women’s Clinics. “Striking the ball better makes it a lot more fun to play. This program is great because not only do you go through skills stations, we actually take you out onto the golf course. Now we’re going to put everything you’ve learned to work – and have a whole lot of fun doing it.”
The PGA of America Women’s Clinics are implemented annually by Blalock’s Boston-based golf event management company, JBC Golf. To inquire about business partnerships, hosted groups or engagement opportunities for women of all skill levels, please visit http://www.pgawomensclinics.com.
