Upper Deck Golf returns to Wrigley Field in Chicago, Sir Nick Faldo debuts at sold-out event

Four-day experience allows Cubs fans to play a round of golf inside the friendly confines

May 8, 2024 — Upper Deck Golf will be swinging into Wrigley Field from May 10-13.  Fans will enjoy a great weekend of stadium engagement with an experience unlike any other.  Those lucky enough to snag tickets to the sold-out event will see Wrigley Field in a unique way and play golf like they have NEVER before, from the upper decks, with no screaming fans.   And the best part is participation in Upper Deck Golf events helps support Upper Deck Golf’s official charity: Stand Up To Cancer.

Known for its unique traditions and charm, Wrigley Field, which was built in 1914, has been the beloved home of the Chicago Cubs for more than a century.  On top of having the thrill of being immersed in the Upper Deck Golf environment, some lucky fans will have a chance to meet Hall of Fame Golfer Sir Nick Faldo who is scheduled to make his Upper Deck Golf debut later this week.

The 3-time Masters and Open Champion will test his skills at judging the swirling winds of Wrigley Field this week.  Faldo was asked about his upcoming trip to Chicago and said, “I can’t imagine having this opportunity to play golf from the upper deck of a more iconic ballpark than Wrigley Field,” he said. “I have played golf all over the world on every imaginable type of golf course, but one thing I have never done is play 9 holes inside an iconic stadium.  The home of the Cubs is one of those stadiums you simply must see in person, and I can’t wait to be there with my friends at Upper Deck Golf while having a chance to meet many of the participants.”

Upper Deck Golf will host events in about 25 stadiums nationwide.  They offer the opportunity to play a round of golf inside iconic stadiums including hitting shots from the upper deck inside professional sports stadiums like Ohio Stadium, Wrigley Field in Chicago, Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia, Dodger’s Stadium in Los Angeles, among many others. Participants enjoy a special experience while hitting tee shots from the stands throughout the stadium, down to custom greens on the field below. The fun starts and concludes at the clubhouse festival inside the stadium with great music, cold beers, food, and multiple golfing challenges.

Upper Deck Golf was acquired in 2023 by Marc Bender and Adam Wachter, Managing Partners of Hidden Links, Golfpac Travel, Tee Times USA, and Go Play Golf gift card.

Bender and Wachter released a joint statement, "Upper Deck Golf’s growth has been amazing.  We appreciate the opportunity to return to Wrigley Field where the people of Chicago can expect great hospitality, a lot of fun, and a unique experience.  We love introducing more people to this wonderful game while supporting Stand Up To Cancer through our charitable efforts.  Wrigley Field is an ideal place for Sir Nick to make his debut after joining our team at Upper Deck Golf.”

Earlier this year, Cleveland Golf was named Upper Deck Golf’s exclusive equipment provider ensuring participants have industry leading equipment and a top-notch experience. Cleveland Golf’s Wedges are some of the most highly regarded in golf, and they will help golfers get dialed in on shorter shots throughout each stadium. Golfers will have a chance to demo the latest Cleveland Golf Putters at Upper Deck Golf’s putting challenge, while Cleveland Golf’s newest line of Drivers will be featured at the long drive contest. The 54 hitting bays set up throughout each stadium will offer cutting edge equipment for men, women, seniors and left-handed golfers.

Upper Deck Golf offers corporate packages, as well as local, regional, and national sponsorships available for those enterprises looking to get their brand out in front of a new audience of golfers. To learn more about Upper Deck Golf and find other events, visit www.upperdeckgolfing.com.
