69 Troon-affiliated courses named Golfweek’s best

Scottsdale, Ariz. (June 17, 2024) – Troon®, the leader in providing golf and club-related leisure and hospitality services, is pleased to announce that 69 of its brand-affiliated courses were recently named to Golfweek's 2024 Best Courses lists. A total of 51 daily-fee/resort properties appear on Golfweek’s 2024 “Best Courses You Can Play, State-by-State” list, while 18 private clubs were named to the “Best Private Courses, State-by-State” ranking.  In addition, 10 Troon-affiliated courses appear on Golfweek’s prestigious “Top 100 Best Courses You Can Play” ranking, while seven are on the “Top 200 Modern Courses” list. Three Troon-affiliated courses are the top public course in their respective states, including Mystic Creek Golf Club in El Dorado, Arkansas, Giant’s Ridge (Quarry Course) in Biwabik, Minnesota, and Black Desert Resort in Ivins, Utah.

Golfweek’s elite team of more than 800 raters around the world play the courses and rate each layout based on 10 provided criteria, with each offering its own 10-point scale. Raters then offer one overall rating of 1 to 10, which is not cumulative based on the 10 criteria. An average of those overall ratings is calculated to create an annual score for each layout, allowing Golfweek’s Best to rank courses. The magazine then ranks the best classic, modern, resort and residential courses nationally as well as the best private and public courses in each state.

“Congratulations to all of the courses recognized in these esteemed rankings,” said Troon Executive Vice President of Global Sales and Marketing Kris Strauss. ”The rankings are a credit to the associates who work tirelessly each and every day, as well as ownership at each of these stunning locales who are dedicated to delivering these ‘Top 100’ experiences.”
