LIV Golf announces two hires; New Zealand Open adds supporting sponsor

New Zealand Open: Agrees to a multiyear supporting sponsorship agreement with Gallagher Insurance. The 104th New Zealand Open is scheduled for Feb. 27-March 2.

Nippon Shaft: Charley Hull used the N.S.Pro Modus3 Tour 125 and Tour 120 steel shafts in her irons and wedges to win the Ladies European Tour's Aramco Team Series in dominating fashion at Riyadh Golf Club in Saudi Arabia. The win was Hull's fourth on the LET.

LIV Golf: Hires John Ruzich as chief legal officer and Denise Taylor as head of product and technology. Ruzich will oversee all legal functions across the LIV Golf League and its 13 teams, including international operations and events, while Taylor will lead the League’s department for global technology solutions and products. Both industry veterans will be based in New York.

LPGA: Announces Lydia Ko and Ally Ewing as the recipients of the 2024 Heather Farr Perseverance Award and Founders Award, respectively. Both players were chosen and voted on by LPGA Membership. The Heather Farr Perseverance Award honors an LPGA player who has demonstrated determination, perseverance and spirit in fulfilling her goals as a player. The Founders Award is given to an LPGA member who best exemplifies the spirit, ideals and values of the LPGA through her behavior and deeds.
