It was a thrilling weekend for golf.  At the Valero Texas Open Brian Harman emerged victorious with a 3-shot win, and earned the beautifully crafted Valero Texas Open trophy designed by Malcolm DeMille. This iconic trophy features a crystal, shaped like Texas and the Valero flag, surrounded by hand-sculpted San Antonio landmarks, such as, The Alamo, San Fernando Cathedral, Tower of Life, Tower of the Americas, Frost Tower, Marriott River Center, the Torch of Friendship, and the famous San Antonio River Walk. The bronze perpetual trophy stands on a three-tiered oak wood base, commemorating past champions of the Valero Texas Open since 1922, while the Champion’s trophy rests on a single-tier oak wood base. The team at Malcolm DeMille is honored to contribute to this historic event by creating this stunning trophy, and sends out congratulations to Brian Harman.

Meanwhile, on the PGA TOUR Champions circuit, the James Hardie Pro Football Hall of Fame Invitational debuted its inaugural tournament on the Champions Tour circuit, showcasing a beautifully crafted trophy by Malcolm DeMille. The trophy features a nickel-plated bronze sculpture of a Hardie home on an etched crystal riser depicting a golf course and football field and finished with a black wooden base highlighting the event's logo and a Champions plate. When Sunday arrived and the stunning trophy was on the line, Angel Cabrera made a late birdie to win the James Hardie Pro Football Hall of Fame Invitational and his first PGA Tour Champions title.

Along with Cabrera’s win, Tim Brown’s outstanding play earned him the Pro Football Hall of Fame title. Brown was awarded a Malcolm DeMille high-end stainless-steel Trophy Tray featuring a 2D replica casting of the James Hardie Pro Football Hall of Fame Invitational Take-Home trophy.  A similar Trophy Tray was awarded to Angel Cabrera’s caddie.

Malcolm DeMille appreciates the trust placed in our team by the Valero Texas Open and the James Hardie Pro Football Hall of Fame Invitational, allowing us to enhance their events with unique, one-of-a-kind trophies.  We offer our deepest Congratulations to both tournaments and their champions— Brian Harman and Angel Cabrera.
