Insperity Invitational’s tradition of excellence continues in The Woodlands through 2030

Insperity continues investment in PGA Tour Champions event focused on making a positive impact on communities in southern Texas

The Woodlands, Texas – Today, ahead of the 22nd playing of the Insperity Invitational, officials from Insperity and PGA TOUR Champions announced the annual Tradition of Excellence will continue in The Woodlands, extending Insperity’s title sponsorship for the Houston-area PGA TOUR Champions stop through 2030. Over the last two decades, the Insperity Invitational has annually attracted golf’s greatest names to compete on the course while making a positive impact in the community off the course. This year’s tournament will see Champions Tour players competing for the largest amount of prize money ($3 million) in a non-major event on PGA TOUR Champions.

“This all began when I received a phone call from Mr. Arnold Palmer who encouraged me to take the step and get behind bringing this event to The Woodlands,” said Paul Sarvadi, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Insperity. “Our involvement with this golf tournament aligns with Insperity’s mission to help businesses succeed so that communities prosper. Bringing golf’s best to The Woodlands each year provides a tremendous economic boost for local businesses which in turn supports the charitable impact. I can’t think of a better way to honor Mr. Palmer’s life, and all of these other great players that commit to our mission each year, than to ensure the Tradition of Excellence continues.”

Since its inception in 2004, the tournament has made a significant economic and charitable impact in the Houston community with more than $21 million in donations to local charities.

“The success of any great event starts with its title partner. With the leadership and commitment of Insperity, this tournament has been able to positively change the lives of the people in our community,” said Bryan Naugle, Executive Director, Insperity Invitational. “Insperity’s generous investment, both financially and through the volunteer spirit of its employees, provides us with the opportunity to have a lasting charitable footprint on the region, creates networking opportunities for the corporate community, showcases junior golfers in southern Texas, and most importantly, provides golf fans with an opportunity to watch their heroes compete for one of the most coveted titles on the PGA TOUR Champions. We are so privileged to be able to continue this positive impact in our community for five more years.”

The Insperity Invitational has received multiple awards for its community impact. The tournament has been recognized by many, including PGA TOUR Champions players, as a top event on the Tour.

“I’m thrilled to announce this extension, furthering the tremendous relationship that PGA TOUR Champions and Insperity have shared for over 20 years,” said Miller Brady, President of PGA TOUR Champions. “Insperity’s continued dedication to providing a world-class experience for players and fans has made this a premier stop on our Tour and the community support of this event is second-to-none. One of the longest-standing events on PGA TOUR Champions, the Insperity Invitational has a storied legacy, which we look forward to growing over the next five years.”

An impressive list of golf’s best names have been crowned a champion of the prestigious event over the last 22 years including: defending champion, Scott Dunlap (2024); back-to-back champion, Steven Alker (2023 and 2022); Mike Weir (2021); Scott McCarron (2019); four-time Insperity Invitational winner, Bernhard Langer (2018, 2014, 2008, 2007); John Daly (2017); Jesper Parnevik (2016); Ian Woosnam (2015); Esteban Toledo (2013); Fred Funk (2012); Brad Faxon (2011); Fred Couples (2010); John Cook (2009); Jay Haas (2006); Mark McNulty (2005) and Larry Nelson (2004).
