Shot Scope Teams Up with The Hackers Paradise for Data Experience

Edinburgh, Scotland, UK – Shot Scope, industry leader in golf GPS, rangefinder and shot tracking technology, celebrated the fourth installment of the 2025 The Hackers Paradise Data Experience where attendees enjoyed golf at the beautiful Victoria National Golf Club in Newburgh, Indiana, obtained an inside look into Shot Scope’s technology development, products, and had a sneak peek at what the Scotland-based golf tech company has development.

The 2025 Data Experience was three days filled with a behind-the-scenes look at Shot Scope, covering all things stats and data with four of The Hackers Paradise members selected for the trip. Two of Shot Scope’s data experts, Jennifer Saxton, marketing manager, and Gavin Dear, chief commercial officer, were on hand to help each player with a deep dive into their on-course data to improve their golf games, advising them on strategy and performance on the course.

“We can’t say enough about what a fun and fully engaged group this is that comes together for this experience,” said Saxton. “There’s nothing like spending time with passionate golfers who are eager to learn and work hard on their games to get better. Throw in some laughs, competitive golf and great times all around, and it’s the perfect way to spread the word about our brand and to help golfers get the most out of their Shot Scope data.”

Shot Scope also offers a variety of laser rangefinders and handheld devices, to help golfers with distances, shot tendencies and improving their performance. The company has 300+ golf professionals in the U.K. selling its products and using them in lessons and is making huge strides in the U.S. with PGA of America Golf Professionals and their facilities, as well as with large golf retail chains.

The Data Experience gives the participants a behind-the-scenes look into Shot Scope’s current and future product development, looking at technology, features, and design. It also offered all members of The Hackers Paradise Forum the chance to ask questions on the live update thread.

“We love that this community looks at this event as something they point to on their spring golf calendar and we already can’t wait for the 2026 installment of the Data Experience,” Saxton said.

The Shot Scope team – including former Walker Cup Dear and Saxton (an elite amateur who has lowered her handicap from scratch to +5 using Shot Scope data to guide her practice plan) – are themselves dedicated golfers who are just as improvement-minded as their consumers. On average, golfers who capture their data in the subscription-free Shot Scope app improve by an average of four strokes per round.

Shot Scope boasts an ecosystem of game improvement and distance measuring products, priding themselves for having a product for every golfer. To date, more than 400 million golf shots have been tracked by more than 220,000 Shot Scope users worldwide.

The data aggregated by individual users as well as by Shot Scope is a stunningly enlightening compendium of specifically how golfers lose shots to par and how they can use this information to systematically improve their scores. The 10-year-old Scotland-based tech company, a stalwart in the United Kingdom in rangefinder and GPS watch sales, has developed a loyal user base and has eyes on an increased market share in North America.
