After an exhaustive three-year design and construction process, golfers now have two options for additional traction in a spiked outsole with the same TRUE pursuit of outright performance and comfort. Providing options for both Tour players and serious amateur golfers alike, both spiked shoes are built to thrive in varying weather and course conditions, providing every performance gain possible.
“The Lux2 is a performance shoe like we’ve never offered before,” said TRUE linkswear Co-Founder and Partner Jason Moore. “Our roster of Team TRUE Tour players has had a really keen interest in seeing what a TRUE linkswear spiked golf shoe built for the ultra-high-performance athlete would look like. We knew from Tour player feedback, this release had to be a comfortable, low profile, flexible, but stable shoe that incorporates a spiked sole that supports their movement when it matters on the golf course. We spent almost three years and probably seven different design iterations before we created a shoe we love because it is revolutionary in comfort and performance.”

Combining the TRUE DNA with an unyielding focus on technical innovation, the Lux2 Maven is the ultimate performance golf shoe for the player who refuses to accept compromise. Developed in conjunction with TRUE’s Tour Ambassadors, Lux2 Maven is packed with technology. The outsole features the next-generation FlexBolt, a lightning bolt cutout that provides greater outsole flexibility, enhancing lateral loading and stability during the swing. The FlexBolt also removes a portion of the midsole, helping reduce the weight of the overall shoe.
A major attribute of the Maven is the flexible carbon-fiber ground force reaction plate. The technology is all about energy return. The same technology is used in long-distance running shoes to smash records around the world. The TRUE carbon plate helps amplify each step on the golf course and provide the ultimate in energy return and performance.
“In recent times, we’ve seen marathon records broken year after year. A lot of that can be attributed to carbon fiber inserts in the shoes. That sole insert technology translates not only to energy return in your walking stride and reducing fatigue, but it also can help with ground force reaction. With a stable, low-profile base, that you can actually drive your power into and have it return from the ground, adding the carbon fire plate adds propulsion to that movement. Based on what we’ve seen from Tour players, we’re seeing a notable improvement in results from this new Lux2 spiked shoe design.”

“A round of golf can be seven miles walking up and down hills, sometimes in wet conditions. So, the mountaineering side of our tread is definitely something that helps you with uphill and downhill ascent as you’re walking. We also have rotational tread and the spikes definitely play a part in that tread pattern. The TPU spikes and the rubber tread can interact with surfaces differently. One’s phenomenal for wet grass and the other one’s better for turf and grip of the Earth. So, we’re excited to team up the two for optimal traction on the golf course,” Moore said.

The Lux2 spiked shoes both feature removable Soft Spikes in a mountaineering-inspired tread pattern. While the spikes improve traction on slippery and uneven surfaces, the pattern improves traction in ascents and descents.
