MGI Golf named official electric caddy partner of the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour

Two-year partnership brings game-changing technology and on-course access to junior golf’s rising stars

Las Vegas, Nev. (May 28, 2025) – MGI Golf, global leader in technology for the walking golfer and maker of America’s No. 1 electric golf caddy, is proud to announce it has been named the official electric caddy partner of the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT), the largest multi-day junior golf tour in the United States.

This two-year partnership is MGI’s first official collaboration with a junior golf tour in the U.S., highlighting the brand’s long-term commitment to accessibility and player development. It also grants MGI category exclusivity and a prominent presence at more than 300 HJGT events annually, an important milestone in supporting the next generation of competitive golfers.

“Partnering with the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour allows us to directly support the next generation of competitive golfers and the future of the sport,” said Miranda Turner, CEO of MGI Golf Inc. “We believe that walking the course is not only better for the player’s body and mind, but it also fosters a deeper connection to the game. By bringing our electric caddies to the junior level, we are helping young athletes conserve energy, play more focused golf, and gain confidence in a competitive environment.”

MGI will provide a fleet of electric caddies, each outfitted with convenient accessories such as drink holders, phone mounts, and umbrella attachments. Players who reserve a caddy in advance of an event will be assigned one at check-in to use throughout the tournament, returning it to the HJGT tournament director after their round.

In addition to providing electric caddies, MGI will have a consistent presence on the first tee at every HJGT event, where its best selling electric caddies will be prominently displayed. The brand will also participate in select onsite activations, offering live product demonstrations and interactive opportunities for junior golfers and their families to learn more about the benefits of walking with electric assistance. This partnership reflects MGI’s commitment to shaping the future of the game and provides a meaningful opportunity to equip young golfers with tools that elevate performance and support overall well-being. By reducing the physical strain of walking, MGI equips young athletes to conserve energy, stay mentally focused, and develop habits that support continued growth and success both on and off the course.

“Partnering with MGI Golf is a powerful step forward in our commitment to elevating the junior golf experience,” says Rex Grayner, SVP of Business Development at the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour. “Transitioning from manual push carts to electric caddies is more than just a convenience, it’s a reflection of how we’re evolving the tour to match the level of professionalism our players deserve. MGI’s dedication to innovation, quality, and growing the game perfectly aligns with our values at the HJGT, and we’re thrilled to bring their cutting-edge products to our events nationwide.”

Founded in 2007, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour was created to provide boys and girls ages 8 to 18 an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. With a mission to deliver superb hospitality and make every tournament experience memorable, the HJGT has grown to become the leader in junior golf, hosting more two-day nationally ranked events than any other tour. Its success is rooted in running the most professional events possible while providing outstanding value for players and families.

Throughout the season, MGI will offer exclusive pricing on its electric caddies and accessories to Hurricane Junior Golf Tour players, families, and staff. This partnership strengthens MGI’s footprint in North America, where it was named the best-selling electric caddy for the second consecutive year in 2024, and complements its ongoing collaborations with PGA professionals, golf clubs, and professional tours around the world, including the Epson Tour.
