Monticello, N.Y. (May 29, 2025) –The Monster Golf Club at Resorts World Catskills in Monticello, New York will host the 2025 Legends of the LPGA Celebrity Charity Golf Tournament, June 26-28. The three-day event will bring together LPGA Hall of Famers, celebrities, and amateur golfers to honor Hudson Valley first responders and raise money for the Grateful Hearts Foundation, a charity focused on helping young adults who have aged out of the foster care system.
New York’s Catskill Mountains region has recently reemerged as a premier golf destination. And, thanks to a $40 million transformation led by architect Rees Jones, The Monster Golf Club is once again the place to play in the Catskills. The former Concord Monster Course, once listed as a Golf Digest Top 100 golf course, had been closed for play since 2015 before Jones was brought in to completely redesign the golf course in 2018. The new Monster was unveiled for public play in September 2023. During the nearly five-year redesign project, Jones used holes and corridors from the former Monster Golf Course, originally designed by Joe Finger in 1963, and the Old International Course to create the all-new 18-hole layout. Similar to the former Monster which tipped-out at 7,650 yards, the new Jones-design can play up to 7,327 yards from the ‘Monster Tees’ at a par of 72. During the Legends of the LPGA Celebrity Charity Golf Tournament the course will be set up to play at approximately 6,200 yards.

During the tournament, LPGA Legends will be paired with Hudson Valley first responders, to honor their commitment to keeping our communities safe. The event will also feature celebrity emcee and three-time NFL Pro Bowler Bob Golic, who will host the Celebrity Charity Golf Dinner and will be among the prominent sports and entertainment celebrities taking part in the event. Other celebrities and LPGA Legends scheduled to play include Brandie Burton, Laura Diaz, Pat Hurst, and Hollis Stacy. The 2025 Legends of the LPGA Celebrity Charity Golf Tournament kicks off on June 26th with a Celebrity Pro-Am Tournament, pairing LPGA Legends and celebrities with amateurs, followed by an exclusive VIP Dinner at Resorts World Catskills. The first round of the Legends of the LPGA tournament and the First Responder Golf Challenge take place on June 27th, followed by the final round, sponsored barbecue and awards ceremony on June 28th.
“We’re thrilled to welcome the LPGA Legends and their fans to Monster Golf Club this June,” said Monster Golf Club Director of Golf Uri Jimenez. “It’s an honor to host some of the game’s most iconic players, and we’re especially excited to see how the new layout performs under tournament conditions. It’s going to be a fantastic showcase of championship golf.”
The Monster Golf Club at Resorts World Catskills is located just 90 miles from Manhattan, making it an ideal destination to escape the hustle and bustle of the city. For more information or to book a tee time, visit https://rwcatskills.com/monster-golf-club.
