Carne Golf Links, the renowned Links golf course located on the stunning Mullet Peninsula in North West Mayo, Ireland, is delighted to announce the appointment of Ann Liguori as International President, and its’ first female International President, following on from the appointment of their inaugural International President, famed author, professor and editor, Tom Coyne, in 2025, who served a two year term in the role.
The appointment was announced on 22nd May 2025, at the International Member/Guest Gala Dinner held in the world class Mount Falcon Hotel in Ballina, Co. Mayo, which is the highlight of the annual International Member/Guest Week at Carne, and was attended by over 200 international members and their guests, along with Minister Dara Calleary, Deputy Rose Conway Walsh, and Deputy Kiera Keogh.
This prestigious role reflects Ann's longstanding dedication to the sport and her significant contributions to both the Irish and the global golf industry. Ann has been a tireless supporter and promoter of Irish Links golf globally, and in her new role, Ann will leverage her vast experience and international network to further elevate Carne Golf Links' profile on the global stage. Her appointment comes at a pivotal time as Carne Links continues to thrive and expand its international membership base.
Ann Liguori is a renowned sports media personality, celebrated for her extensive career as a sports radio and television host, journalist, and author. She has been a trailblazer in the industry, notably as the first woman to host a call-in sports show on WFAN-New York, in addition to being an original host of her own show on the Golf Channel. She currently hosts ‘Talking Golf with Ann Liguori’ on Sunday mornings on WFAN-NY/audacy.com; her podcast, ‘Golf Innerview’, distributed via First Call; and ‘Sports Innerview’ on NPR’s WLIW-FM and wliw.org. Her latest book, ‘Life on the Green, Lessons and Wisdom from Legends of Golf’, features 12 golf legends sharing life wisdom, lessons they’ve learned from their iconic golf careers. Ann is President of Ann Liguori Productions, Inc., and is a Celebrity Ambassador for IBKUL Athleisure Wear.
