65 Troon-affiliated courses named Golfweek’s best

Scottsdale, Ariz. (June 3, 2025) – 65 Troon-affiliated courses have been named Golfweek’s Best in the newly released Golfweek’s Best 2025 issue, ranking the top golf courses in the United States. Golfweek’s team of more than 850 raters rate courses based on 10 criteria. An average of those overall ratings is calculated to create an annual score for each layout, allowing Golfweek’s Best to rank courses. The magazine then ranks the best classic and modern courses nationally as well as the top public and private courses in each state.

Troon®, the leader in providing golf and club-related leisure and hospitality services, congratulates the owners, associates, members and frequent players recognized in Golfweek’s Best 2025 issue.

  • 51 Troon brand-affiliated daily-fee/resort properties are recognized on Golfweek’s 2025 “Best Courses You Can Play, State-by-State” list.
  • 14 private clubs are named in the “Best Private Courses, State-by-State” ranking.
  • 8 courses appear on Golfweek’s prestigious “Top 100 Best Courses You Can Play” ranking.
  • 7 properties are on the magazine’s “Top 200 Modern Courses” list.
  • 3 Troon brand-affiliated courses are the top public courses in their respective states, including Mystic Creek Golf Club in El Dorado, Arkansas, Giant’s Ridge (Quarry Course) in Biwabik, Minnesota and Black Desert Resort in Ivins, Utah.
  • 1 property was named its state’s top private course, as Fargo Country Club in Fargo is North Dakota’s top private course.

“From golf operations and retail to agronomy and F&B, these rankings are a credit to the associates who work tirelessly each and every day,” said Troon Executive Vice President of Global Sales and Marketing Kris Strauss. “Congratulations to the owners who invested in and delivered these ‘Top 100’ experiences, and to the course architects for their incredible work.”
