"It's a tremendous honor to become a PGA Master Professional and join such a respected group," said Mousley. "With 30,000 Members, to be under the 500 number really means a lot. What got me here in the first place was just overall curiosity. I was looking to further my teaching career and sharpen up my teaching skills to better serve my students. That curiosity isn't going away now just because I finished the program. I feel like I owe it to my students to stay current on the cutting edge of everything and be able to provide the best instruction possible."

The PGA Master Professional program was established in 1969 to recognize PGA of America Members who make a significant effort to improve as golf professionals and maintain the highest degree of excellence for themselves and their facilities. The curriculum is designed to ensure golf professionals are prepared to meet the growing demands of the marketplace within the Executive Management, Golf Operations and Teaching and Coaching Designations.

The program is available to those with at least 10 years of PGA of America Membership along with having achieved advanced certification through the PGA Specialized and Certified Professional Programs.

The curriculum includes an extensive project based on the specific certification previously acquired by the PGA of America Golf Professional. PGA Master Professional status is earned upon successful completion of the project’s presentation.

A PGA of America Golf Professional since 2013, Mousley first worked with G.F. Management in several capacities including; General Manager, Director of Golf, Golf Sales Manager and provided regional support for multiple golf operations around the country. During that time, Mousley executed multi-million dollar budgets, creating sales and marketing plans, performing daily accounting functions, AR/AP responsibilities, capital funding and implementing corporate management protocols.

Mousley focused his full attention to teaching in 2014, working at several North Florida facilities, including Billy Casper Golf and Meridian Golf & Fitness before serving as the PGA Director of Instruction at St. Johns Golf and Country Club in St. Augustine, Fla. from 2018-2020. In 2021, Mousley created JM Golf Performance and bases his instruction out of the University of North Florida Golf Complex.

In addition to his PGA Master Professional designation, Mousley is certified through the Titleist Performance Institute, is a Callaway Master Fitter, Operation 36 certified and a PGA Jr. League Coach.

Mousley has a master’s degree in public administration and health care management from West Virginia University and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Michigan State University.

Mousley resides in St. Augustine, Florida, with his wife Morgan and their two dogs.
