Mesquite, NV — The World Series Skills of Golf (WSSOG), a revolutionary new skills-based golf competition, today announces its official launch with CasaBlanca Resort & Casino in Mesquite, Nevada, selected as the exclusive host venue for the inaugural WSSOG World Championship Finals in 2027.
Unlike traditional tournament models, WSSOG is structured as a true world series. Qualifying events are hosted at public courses, private clubs, and simulator venues across the U.S., with local champions advancing through stages to ultimately compete at CasaBlanca for a $1.3 million purse and the WSSOG World Championship title set for Spring 2027.
The early sign-up period is currently available for golf clubs, while individual player sign-ups are set to open in Fall 2025.
“WSSOG is completely rethinking what competitive golf can be,” said Mark Rothschild, WSSOG President. “Our competition isn’t about who hits it the farthest or who plays the most expensive courses; it’s all about skill, precision, control, and the ability to perform under pressure. With CasaBlanca as our World Championship venue, we’ve created a true destination experience to crown the most skilled golfers in the country.”
WSSOG: A NEW GLOBAL COMPETITION PLATFORM BUILT FOR PURE SKILL
WSSOG is redefining competitive golf by removing distance advantages and focusing solely on shot-making: iron play, short game, and putting. Golfers of all ages and skill levels will compete on a completely level playing field with no driving, no handicaps, no stroke play, and no luck-of-the-draw pairings.

— Local venues pay a host fee to run an official WSSOG Qualifier, which also covers the entrance fee of their winner
— Events drive significant revenue for host courses through player participation, F&B, merchandise, sponsorships and overnight stays
— Local winners advance to the World Championship
- The World Championship Finals
— Hosted at CasaBlanca Resort & Casino, one of the country’s top golf resort destinations in Mesquite, Nevada
— The season-ending event brings together all local winners
