Dow Championship announces 2026 dates

Midland Country Club to host LPGA event June 8–14, 2026

MIDLAND, Mich., July 1, 2025 – Tournament officials announced today new dates for the 2026 Dow Championship, taking place June 8-14, 2026, and returning to Midland Country Club for a seventh year.

The Dow Championship, the LPGA Tour’s only official team event, concluded its sixth year at Midland Country Club yesterday with Jin Hee Im and Somi Leewinning with 2025 title. Jin Hee Im and Somi Lee became first time winners with a final score of 20-under, winning in an alternate shot playoff to win against Megan Khang and Lexi Thompson. It marked the first playoff in Dow Championship history.

Each year, the event brings the world’s top golfers to the Great Lakes Bay Region, alongside a week of community engagement and charitable giving. This year, 144 of the world’s top female professional golfers competed in 72-holes of team match play competition for a share of a $3.3 million purse.

“We’re grateful to host the Dow Championship again in 2026,” said Wendy Traschen, Tournament Director of the Dow Championship. “This event brings not only world-class golf, but the opportunity to bring the Great Lakes Bay Region together while giving back to our communities. Each year we bring new experiences to life—2026 is a year you won’t want to miss.”

Jin Hee Im and Somi Lee finished with a bogey-free final round of 62, highlighted by eight birdies. The team hit 11 of 14 fairways, reached 16 of 18 greens in regulation, and totaled 26 putts. With their victory, Lee officially qualified for the 2025 Amundi Evian Championship.

The Dow Championship is one of the premier events on the LPGA Tour being a leader in sustainability and charitable giveback. In 2024, the Dow Championship generated $17.2 million in economic impact, contributing to more than $49 million in total impact since 2019.

Since debuting in 2019, the Dow Championship was the first LPGA Tour event to achieve and maintain full GEO® Certification, a globally recognized mark for environmental and social responsibility, and the first professional golf tournament to earn this certification within the same year. In 2021, the Dow Championship also became the first event on the LPGA Tour to reach carbon neutrality. Dow serves as the Official Sustainability Resource for both the LPGA Tour and the Ladies European Tour, further strengthening the Dow’s role as a global leader in sustainable initiatives.
