BRADENTON, Florida (July 22, 2025) ー The PGA of America has named Eric Nuxol as Championship Director for the 2026 Senior PGA Championship, scheduled for April 16-19 at The Concession Golf Club in Bradenton, Florida.
Now in his eighth year with the PGA of America, Nuxol possesses extensive operational and strategic experience. He will lead all onsite operations, sales and community relations for the Championship.
“We are proud to have Eric leading our team for the 2026 Senior PGA Championship at The Concession,” said David Charles, PGA of America Senior Director of Championships. “Eric’s deep understanding of the logistical and operational needs at our major championships, as well as his strong leadership abilities and relationship building skills, will prove invaluable as we prepare to bring the longest-running major in senior golf to Florida’s West Coast next April.”
Nuxol most recently served as the operations manager for the 2025 PGA Championship at Quail Hollow Club in Charlotte, North Carolina. He also managed onsite operations at the 2023, 2022 and 2020 PGA Championships as well as the 2021 and 2018 KPMG Women’s PGA Championships.
Additionally, Nuxol’s career has included operations roles at the 2017 Kingsmill Championship, the LPGA and the International Speedway Corporation. The Orlando, Florida, native graduated from the University of West Florida in 2011.
“This is a special opportunity to lead the PGA of America’s onsite team for the 2026 Senior PGA Championship, and one for which I am incredibly excited and grateful for,” said Nuxol. “This Championship continues to build on its storied legacy, featuring many of the game’s greatest legends and celebrating iconic champions. I look forward to working closely with the Club, local business leaders and the Manatee and Sarasota County communities as we gear up for a memorable Championship in 2026.”
The Senior PGA Championship will be contested at The Concession for the first time in 2026, beginning a three-year stretch that runs through 2028. The Senior PGA Championship began in 1937 at Augusta National Golf Club and annually features a 156-player field consisting of numerous Major Champions, World Golf Hall of Famers, past Ryder Cup Captains as well as the Corebridge Financial Team of PGA of America Golf Professionals from across the country.
