PORTHCAWL, Wales (Aug. 3, 2025) – Minjee Lee has won the Rolex ANNIKA Major Award after earning 78 points through the five major championships of the 2025 LPGA Tour season. Lee won the 2025 KPMG Women’s PGA Championship and earned an additional top-five finish at The Amundi Evian Championship.
At the final major championship of the season at Royal Porthcawl, Lee finished in a tie for 13th with rounds of 70-76-68-72 to finish at -2 overall. Although Lee did not earn points toward the Rolex ANNIKA Major Award with her finish outside the top 10, her finishes at the four previous major championships gave her enough points to claim the award.
Lee did not miss a cut at a major championship in 2025. To kick off the first major of the season, Lee finished in a tie for 14th at The Chevron Championship. Following that, she headed to Erin Hills where she finished T22 at the U.S. Women’s Open presented by Ally. Lee secured her third major championship victory and first since 2022 at the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship at PGA Frisco in June. In her next start, she finished in a tie for third and just one shot behind the leaders of The Amundi Evian Championship. Lastly, she finished in a tie for 13th at the AIG Women’s Open to complete the 2025 major championship season.
The Rolex ANNIKA Major Award recognizes the player who, during the current LPGA Tour season, has the most outstanding record in all five major championships. Points will be awarded at all five major championships to competitors who finish among the top 10 and ties. In order to earn the award by year’s end, a player must win at least one of the five major titles.
Lee is the 11th winner and first multiple-time winner of the Rolex ANNIKA Major Award since it was established in 2014. She won the award in 2022 after winning the U.S. Women’s Open presented by Ally and recording two additional top-five finishes at the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship (T2) and AIG Women’s Open (T4).
She is a part of a decorated list of past winners of the award including Michelle Wie West (2014), Inbee Park (2015), Lydia Ko (2016), So Yeon Ryu (2017), Ariya Jutanugarn (2018), Jin Young Ko (2019), Patty Tavatanakit (2021), Lilia Vu (2023) and Nelly Korda (2024). The award was not given out in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Points for the Rolex ANNIKA Major Award are awarded at all five major championships to competitors who finish in the top 10. To earn the award, a player must have also won at least one of the five majors. Heading into the final major of the season, Mao Saigo (The Chevron Championship), Maja Stark (U.S. Women’s Open), Minjee Lee (KPMG Women’s PGA Championship) and Grace Kim (Amundi Evian Championship) had the highest chances of winning the award this season. There were 11 additional players who had a chance at earning the award, with Lee ultimately claiming the prize after finishing in a tie for 13th.
Lee will be honored at the Rolex LPGA Awards during the season-ending CME Group Tour Championship in November.
