Yana Wilson secures LPGA Tour status through Epson Tour Race for the Card

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (Aug. 26, 2025) – The Epson Tour announced today that Yana Wilson officially becomes the next player this season to mathematically lock in a spot inside the coveted top 15 of the Race for the Card standings, securing her LPGA Tour card for the 2026 season. The news follows her second win of the season at the Dream First Bank Charity Classic.

With three tournaments remaining in the 2025 season, Wilson will push to keep her spot as No. 1 in the Race for the Card rankings, while Melanie Green, Gina Kim, Erika Hara and Briana Chacon, all of whom also clinched their cards early, chase her. The official LPGA Card Ceremony will take place on Oct. 5, following the Epson Tour Championship at Indian Wells in Indian Wells, Calif.

ABOUT YANA WILSON:

  • Wilson will be an LPGA Tour rookie in 2026
  • Is a 2025 Epson Tour rookie
    • Current No. 1 in the season-long Race for the Card
    • Has earned nine top-10 finishes in 2025, including two wins
      • Wins: Reliance Matrix Championship presented by Epson, Dream First Bank Charity Classic
    • Has made 15 cuts in 16 starts
    • She is the first rookie to win twice in 2025
  • Turned professional in 2024, at the age of 18
  • Won the AJGA portion of the 2023 Mizuho Americas Open
  • Won the 2022 USGA Girls Junior Championship
  • Won the 2022 Hilton Grand Vacations ANNIKA Invitational presented by Rolex
  • Was the youngest to win the Joanne Winter Arizona Silver Belle Championship (2020) at 14 years old

Wilson on securing her LPGA Tour Card:

“It feels pretty cool. I mean, there's still more work to be done. I have other goals in mind that I want to achieve, so, you know, job not done. I think I had a pretty good chance, but I didn't really have my expectations too high. I didn't play my best last year, just in the amateur golf tournaments and some professional events that I ended up playing, so I was really just trying to focus on staying consistent the entire year.”

WHO GETS STATUS:

  • Epson Tour Athletes finishing Nos. 1-10 on the Race for the Card Points List will earn 2026 LPGA status in Category 9  
  • Epson Tour Athletes finishing Nos. 11-15 on the Race for the Card Points List will earn 2026 LPGA status in Category 16
