The Lansdowne Cup partners with Leashes Of Valor, Folds Of Honor

Junior golf tournament provides community a chance to give back to veterans, military families

LEESBURG, Va., (Sept. 29, 2025) – The Lansdowne Cup, hosted by Lansdowne Resort and staged by the Lansdowne Golf Academy, is more than just a junior golf tournament. The two-day Ryder Cup-style event—scheduled for Oct. 25-26 at The Golf Club at Lansdowne—unites young golfers (ages 6-18) of all skill levels in a friendly, team-based competition to support America’s veterans and military families.

Now in its 8th year, the Lansdowne Cup is expanding its reach into the community to raise funds for two exemplary organizations: Leashes of Valor and Folds of Honor. Local businesses and supporters will now have an opportunity to serve as an event sponsor or make a charitable donation. Loudoun County, where the resort is situated, is home to a significant concentration of retired and active military personnel.

“The Lansdowne Cup is a chance to partner for a cause, to stand with our heroes, and strengthen our local community through the values of golf, camaraderie, and giving back,” said Brian Rogish, PGA Director of Instruction, Lansdowne Resort. “Together, we can build community, recognize sacrifice, and make a lasting impact by honoring and empowering the veterans who have served our nation. Sponsors and donors will help provide life-changing assistance to those military families who need it the most.”

Rogish said event sponsors will have the chance to showcase their brand throughout the event while standing proudly with the participating junior players, their families, and military heroes. Charitable donations can be made directly to Leashes of Valor and Folds of Honor.

Leashes of Valor provides fully trained service dogs to veterans living with PTSD, restoring independence and hope through the healing bond of a service dog. Its mission is to improve the lives of veterans through the healing bond with a service dog. Each dog is extensively trained to support a veteran’s mental, emotional, and physical well-being, providing independence and renewed purpose.

Folds of Honor delivers educational scholarships to the spouses and children of fallen or disabled service members, ensuring their families have access to opportunity and brighter futures. Since its founding, Folds of Honor has awarded thousands of educational scholarships to the families of fallen and disabled service members, ensuring their sacrifices are honored through the gift of education.

Headed by Rogish, recognized by Golf Digest among the “Best Young Teachers in America,” the Lansdowne Golf Academy boasts one of the largest junior golf programs in Northern Virginia, featuring one-to-one and group instruction. The Lansdowne Cup, fully booked for 2025, is one of the most anticipated events of the Academy’s season. This year’s Cup will kick off with Opening Ceremonies on Friday, Oct. 24, at Topgolf Loudoun in Ashburn, Va.
