CELEBRATION, Fla. (Oct. 14, 2025) — Mystic Dunes Golf Club is proud to announce the promotion of two long-standing leaders within its golf operations team as Corey McMasters, PGA has been named general manager and RJ Austin has been appointed head golf professional.

McMasters, a PGA Member since 2014, brings more than two decades of golf management experience to his new role. Born and raised in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, he attended Millersville University before graduating from the Golf Academy of America in 2004. McMasters began his golf career at Mystic Dunes from 2004 to 2009, later managing golf operations across Orlando for brands including Holiday Inn, Marriott and Four Seasons. He returned to Mystic Dunes in 2017 to serve as director of golf, where his leadership and operational expertise have been instrumental in elevating the guest and member experience.
Austin, originally from Vermont, has built a career defined by passion for the game and dedication to service. He has served multiple roles at Mystic Dunes, including golf shop assistant and golf professional. Since relocating to Orlando in 2015, he has held leadership positions at notable properties such as Champions Gate Golf Club and Shingle Creek Golf Club. While in the Northeast, Austin served as head golf professional at Stowe Country Club and director of golf at Sugarbush Resort. Austin has been recognized for his contributions to the industry with accolades including the Northeast PGA Section Award for Merchandise (2015) and the Bill Strasbaugh Award from the Vermont PGA Chapter.
Located less than five miles from Walt Disney World® Resort, Mystic Dunes Golf Club is set on 600 acres of rolling hills and lush Florida nature preserves. The golf course opened for play in 1999 and underwent a multi-million-dollar renovation in 2023. The 18-hole, par-72, Gary Koch-design features 80-foot elevation changes, rolling sand dunes, beautiful oaks and vast wetland areas. The front nine features the characteristics of a British Isles links course, with extensive perimeter mounding and pot bunkers and lush, rolling fairways. The ‘low country’ style back nine is reminiscent of classic Carolina courses, meandering through native wetlands and marsh areas, bordering oak and cypress forests.
