Jupiter, FL – Greg Nathan, President and Chief Executive Officer of the National Golf Foundation, has once again been recognized among the most influential leaders in the golf industry, ranking No. 18 in Golf Inc. magazine’s 2025 “Most Powerful People in Golf” issue.
As the golf industry continues to navigate a period of unprecedented growth and evolution, the honor reinforces the value of NGF’s unique voice as the definitive provider of research, data and insights critical to everyone involved in the broad business of golf. Nathan continues to be one of the industry’s most trusted voices — a leading authority on the health of the game, the performance of its businesses, and the shifting economics driving golf’s continued momentum.
“Being recognized by Golf Inc. in the Most Powerful issue is a reflection of the NGF’s uniquely influential place at the center of the golf industry,” said Nathan, who was 24th on last year’s list. “This accolade is shared with my talented colleagues in Jupiter who produce the data-driven insights valued by those who run the top businesses in every sector of the golf economy. It’s an honor and a challenge to build on the NGF’s legacy of leadership as we move into our 90th year in 2026.”
The 2025 Most Powerful feature from Golf Inc. highlights individuals who “are not simply maintaining influence; they are redefining it — driving investment, reimagining operations, and using technology, design and media to bring golf to new audiences.”
Nathan has spent nearly two decades at NGF, ascending to the role of CEO in 2024 and succeeding Joe Beditz, who during his lengthy tenure was recognized numerous times on Golf Inc.’s Most Powerful list. Under Nathan’s leadership, the NGF has solidified its position as golf’s official source for data, intelligence, and insight, helping businesses and organizations across every segment of the industry better understand the state and direction of the game. Working closely with the CEOs and leadership teams from companies in every sector, Nathan continues to combine deep industry perspective, marketing expertise and data fluency to help guide decision-makers and elevate understanding within the game.
Nathan joined the NGF in 2007 after nearly a decade in media and marketing, including roles with GOLF Magazine and GOLF.com. Over his 19 years with the organization, he has helped steer NGF’s research, consulting, and marketing efforts, connecting stakeholders and championing what he calls “radical hospitality” — a guest-focused mindset modeled after the best in the broader hospitality industry.
