As part of this next phase, SSG has appointed Eric Gibson as President to help lead and scale the company’s platform-led strategy.
For nearly 30 years, Signature Sports Group has partnered with brands and rights holders to design and execute integrated programs across major sports. Building on that foundation, the company expanded beyond a services-first model to own and operate original sports properties. This strategy is led by 5 Clubs, SSG’s flagship golf media platform, which has become golf’s morning show across Golf Channel and SiriusXM PGA TOUR Radio.
As the sports media landscape continues to shift toward authentic, always-on engagement, SSG is focused on building durable platforms that translate long-standing industry credibility into trusted, engaged communities around the modern game. Golf serves as the proving ground for this approach, with an expanding slate of original programming, partnerships, and live experiences planned for the 2026 season.

As President, Gibson will oversee the expansion of SSG’s owned media portfolio, the strengthening of commercial systems, and the scaling of platform capabilities. Gibson brings deep experience guiding established brands through moments of inflection, most recently serving as Chief Commercial Officer at Golf Pride, where he helped transform a legacy category leader into a consumer-first brand and build growth systems that outpaced the broader equipment market.
Gibson joins an established leadership team that includes James McCoy, who oversees Strategy and Client Services, and Gary Williams, Executive Producer of 5 Clubs owned media platforms, reinforcing the company’s commitment to both platform growth and long-standing partner relationships.
