PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla. — The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) announced the renewal of its partnership with the Palm Beach County Sports Commission, continuing a highly successful collaboration that has positioned The Palm Beaches as one of the nation’s premier destinations for competitive junior golf.
Since August 2023, the Palm Beach County Sports Commission and the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour have built an exceptional partnership demonstrating the powerful synergy between world-class destinations and America’s largest multi-day junior golf platform. Over that span, The Palm Beaches has hosted 26 HJGT tournaments, welcoming elite junior golfers and their families from across the country while generating significant economic and cultural impact for the local community.
As part of the renewed agreement, the Palm Beach County Sports Commission is supporting four HJGT events during the early portion of the 2026 season, including:
- HJGT Palm Beach Junior Open at Park Ridge in Lake Worth, FL, January 17–18, 2026
- HJGT Palm Beach Junior Open at Westchester Country Club in Boynton Beach, FL, January 24–25, 2026
- HJGT Palm Beach County Junior Open at Village Golf Course in Royal Palm Beach, FL, February 21–22, 2026
- HJGT Lake Worth Junior Open at Fountains Country Club in Lake Worth, FL, March 14–15, 2026
Through this partnership, the HJGT delivers comprehensive destination value designed to maximize exposure, participation, and long-term impact. Since 2023, Palm Beach County events have attracted more than 1,700 junior golfers and families, generating approximately nearly 4,000 hotel room nights, $2.5 million in direct visitor spending, and an estimated $4 million in total economic impact for the region.
“On behalf of the Palm Beach County Sports Commission, we are proud to recognize and commend the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour for its exceptional contribution to youth sports and the game of golf,” said a representative of the Palm Beach County Sports Commission. “The HJGT has consistently demonstrated a commitment to developing young athletes and creating opportunities for junior golfers to compete at a high level in a professionally organized environment. Each event not only showcases outstanding talent but also delivers meaningful economic and cultural benefits to our community.”
HJGT tournaments showcase Palm Beach County’s world-class golf courses to a national junior golf audience, supported by professional tournament operations and extensive digital exposure across HJGT’s platforms. The tour’s dedication to excellence, sportsmanship, and inclusivity aligns seamlessly with the Sports Commission’s mission to promote youth development and athletic achievement through sports tourism.
“The HJGT plays a vital role in shaping the future of the sport,” the Sports Commission added. “Its ability to attract families from across the country while delivering professionally run events makes it a valuable addition to any destination’s sports event portfolio. We are honored to continue supporting their efforts.”
With a proven track record of success, the renewed partnership reinforces Palm Beach County’s standing as a premier hub for junior golf and a trusted partner for nationally recognized youth sporting events.
“The Palm Beach County Sports Commission has set the standard for what a true destination partnership should look like,” said Rex Grayner, Senior Vice President of Business Development for the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour. “This relationship goes far beyond hosting tournaments. It creates a first-class experience for families, delivers measurable economic impact for the community, and showcases why The Palm Beaches continue to be one of the premier destinations in junior golf. We’re proud to extend this relationship and continue building something that benefits everyone involved.”
