FRISCO, Texas (May 5, 2026) - In celebration of Women’s Golf Day, the PGA of America and Omni PGA Frisco Resort & Spa are hosting a Women’s Golf Day event on Friday, May 29, at PGA Frisco for women of all ages and golfing abilities. This event celebrates Women’s Golf Day as a global event that celebrates women and girls playing golf and developing skills to last a lifetime.

"We are thrilled to unite with women who are as passionate about golf’s future as we are. In the spirit of Women's Golf Day, we are reinforcing our commitment to making this sport accessible to everyone,” said Vanessa Vogler, Chief Administrative Officer at the PGA of America. “We're here to inspire new golfers and build a more inclusive foundation for the sport we love."

Starting with a “choose your own adventure,” women can elect to play a round on The Swing, the 10-hole par-3 course in the PGA District, or take a one-hour lesson at the PGA of America Coaching Center powered by T-Mobile with PGA of America Golf Professionals. Trish Holt, Head PGA Golf Professional at Fields Ranch, will provide tips and tricks on the short course. Post-golf, women will gather at Ice House for a BBQ-themed brunch and award ceremony before heading to the Home of the PGA of America for a cocktail hour and fireside chat discussing the growth and future of women’s golf.

The four-hour event, intended for golfers and non-golfers alike, focuses on creating an environment where women and girls can build a foundation in golf by establishing a network of friends and golf professionals to support their continuation in the game. Through on-course experiences, paired with a social outing and empowering business panel, this event encourages more women to get involved in the sport and join the more than 8.1 million females who played a round in 2025—a number the National Golf Foundation continues to see climb each year. That growth is a number that has been steadily increasing for the last six years, yielding a 2.5M participating increase since 2019 and bringing the total percentage of on-course female golfers to 28%.

"More important than any score, the true value in the game of golf is the ability to bring people together,” said Trish Holt, PGA, Head Golf Professional at Fields Ranch. “It is our hope that this experience not only celebrates women enjoying the game together, but also continues to foster a vibrant and growing community of women in golf.”
