GALLOWAY, N.J., May 19, 2026 –Tournament officials at theShopRite LPGA powered by Wakefern and ShopRite announced today new and continued event initiatives to support women athletes with the costs often associated with competing on the game’s biggest stage and chasing their dreams on the LPGA Tour.

These exciting enhancements for the 2026 edition of the championship include an increased tournament purse, the continuation of the “Team ShopRite” sponsorship program, complimentary lodging accommodations throughout tournament week for the entire 144-player field and additional player experiences and community outreach in making the tournament the most family-friendly event for players and spectators alike on the LPGA Tour.

Atlantic City’s largest sporting event and one of the longest-running events on the LPGA Tour schedule, the ShopRite LPGA powered by Wakefern will take place May 29-31 at Seaview Hotel and Golf Club in Galloway, N.J. The players will compete for an overall $2 million purse, a $250,000 increase over 2025. In addition, the entire tournament field competing in the ShopRite LPGA powered by Wakefern will receive complimentary lodging accommodations throughout tournament week for a second consecutive year, courtesy of title sponsor ShopRite. ShopRite and Wakefern will also host their annual community charitable tournament luncheon where this year they will distribute a record $2 million in grants to more than 50 different organizations.

“We believe in empowering women athletes and creating opportunities for them to succeed – on and off the course. We are also committed to supporting the people and communities that make this tournament so special. Through our partnership with the LPGA Tour, the ShopRite LPGA powered by Wakefern brings those values together – helping players compete at their best while giving back to communities in meaningful ways. We’re proud to continue building on that tradition as we look ahead to the 38th edition of the tournament this May,” said Wakefern President Mike Stigers.

The 2026 tournament will again feature Team ShopRite, created last year to support four deserving golfers as they pursue their LPGA Tour dreams – combining a love of the game with ShopRite’s commitment to giving back.

The four players who are a part of Team ShopRite in 2026 include LPGA Tour winners Cheyenne Knight and Azahara Munoz and Epson Tour professionals Gianna Clemente and Rachel Kuehn. These athletes reaffirm ShopRite’s commitment to enhancing and providing meaningful impact to both mothers on the LPGA Tour as well as budding stars who are kickstarting their careers.

“I’m honored to be part of Team ShopRite and excited to return to Seaview later this month,” said Knight, while on maternity leave from the LPGA Tour will be on-site throughout tournament week. “ShopRite’s commitment to supporting players and giving back to the community is incredibly meaningful to me. The ShopRite LPGA has such a special way of bringing people together, and I’m proud to be part of something that continues to grow the game while making positive impact.”

Each player on Team ShopRite will participate in tournament week activities during the ShopRite LPGA powered by Wakefern and other charitable events throughout the year. In addition, they will represent the ShopRite brand and participate in player appearances with ShopRite during the year.

Munoz, Clemente, and Kuehn are entered into the tournament field for the ShopRite LPGA powered by Wakefern. Clemente and Kuehn will compete in the field as tournament sponsor invitations; Clemente for a third consecutive year and Kuehn’s second year as a sponsor invitation. Knight, who is married to NFL quarterback Easton Stick, gave birth to their first son, Cooper, in December of 2025 and is currently on maternity leave from the LPGA Tour. She plans to return to LPGA Tour competition later this year as part of the “Moms on Tour.” Munoz, an LPGA Tour winner and European Solheim Cup veteran, also is a proud member of “Moms on Tour” with her young son Lucas traveling with her to events.

New for 2026, players also will have a dedicated Player Lounge and Player Family Lounge inside Seaview Hotel throughout tournament week, allowing them comfort, rest, and recovery away from the course, courtesy of ShopRite.

“The ShopRite LPGA powered by Wakefern features some of the greatest names as past champions and has also kick-started the careers for many of the LPGA Tour’s current stars,” said Michel Taft, executive director for the ShopRite LPGA powered by Wakefern. “ShopRite has been a tremendous partner in elevating women’s sports and giving back to the community and will continue for years to come.”

In advance of the 2025 edition of the championship, tournament officials announced an expanded, multi-year partnership with Wakefern and ShopRite that included new initiatives to help athletes with the costs associated with competition and other programs to help young people. In addition to the formation of Team ShopRite and the complimentary player hotel program, additional initiatives in 2025 included:

· Teaming up with non-profit organization First Tee, to provide college scholarships to 12 high school athletes in 9 local chapters in communities that ShopRite serves throughout the Mid-Atlantic Region and Northeast.

· Collaborating with Colgate-Palmolive through Colgate’s Bright Smiles, Bright Futures® and Team Smile® program to bring dental care and oral health education to underserved children during a special event at the tournament.

Both of these programs are also returning in 2026 during Shoprite LPGA tournament week.

ShopRite continues its decades-long tradition of supporting women’s golf and giving back to community-based organizations through the ShopRite LPGA powered by Wakefern.
