MISSOULA, Montana – [June 26, 2026] – Sun Mountain Sports announced today that DP World Tour professional Ryggs Johnston has joined the Sun Mountain family as an official brand ambassador.
A rising talent in professional golf, Johnston, 26, earned international attention following a breakthrough 2025 season on the DP World Tour after an All-America career at Arizona State University. After graduating in 2024, he advanced through all three stages of DP World Tour Qualifying School to earn playing rights for the 2025 Race to Dubai season.
Just weeks later, he delivered one of the year’s breakout performances by winning the ISPS HANDA Australian Open in only his second DP World Tour start. Johnston entered the week ranked No. 954 in the Official World Golf Ranking before closing with a four-under-par 68 to win by three strokes.
Johnston grew up in Libby, Montana, while Sun Mountain has been headquartered in Missoula for more than four decades, creating a natural connection between the player and the brand. One of the most decorated high school golfers in Montana history, Johnston won four individual state championships and captured the 2018 Montana Men’s State Amateur Championship.
