CANTON, North Carolina — Springdale Resort is proud to announce that renowned golf personality, former PGA Tour professional, longtime television broadcaster, and golf industry consultant Charlie Rymer has joined the Springdale family as the club's official Ambassador and Strategic Consultant.
The partnership marks an exciting new chapter for one of Western North Carolina's most historic golf destinations.
As Springdale Ambassador and Strategic Consultant, Rymer will help share the resort's rich history, showcase its championship golf experience, participate in member and guest events, and represent Springdale through special appearances and media initiatives. In addition, through Charlie Rymer Golf Services, he will provide strategic consulting services to the resort, advising on brand positioning, guest experience, content development, partnerships, media strategy, residential real estate opportunities, and long-term growth initiatives.
Known throughout the golf world for his authentic personality, infectious enthusiasm, and lifelong passion for the game, Rymer has built a distinguished career both inside and outside the ropes. A former U.S. Junior Amateur Champion and two-time All-American at Georgia Tech, Rymer competed on the PGA Tour before becoming one of golf's most recognizable voices through more than two decades of broadcasting work with ESPN and Golf Channel. He earned a reputation for making the game more approachable, entertaining, and enjoyable for golfers of every skill level.

Rymer echoed that excitement.

Members and guests will begin seeing Rymer at select tournaments, member events, and special programs throughout the year, where he will bring his trademark humor, storytelling, and passion for golf to the Springdale experience.
The first official appearance in his new role took place during Springdale's annual Member/Guest Tournament, where participants had the opportunity to interact with Rymer throughout the event, including a special appearance on Hole No. 8 on Friday where he commentated on the action and hit shots.
