Liberty National Foundation celebrates STRIVE North Jersey graduates, continued partnership

Newark, New Jersey —  July 30, 2026  —  Liberty National Foundation representatives reaffirmed the organization's support for STRIVE North Jersey during the organization’s graduation ceremony at Newark Symphony Hall on Friday, July 24.

The ceremony recognized 23 graduates from STRIVE North Jersey’s third cohort who completed the Certified Clinical Medical Career Path program. The program prepares participants for healthcare careers through technical training, career-readiness education and ongoing personal support.

“Supporting the communities in our own backyard is at the heart of Liberty National Foundation’s mission,” said Dan Fireman, executive chairman of Liberty National Foundation and co-founder of Liberty National Golf Club. “STRIVE is creating meaningful pathways to careers that can change the lives of individuals and their families. We are proud to celebrate these graduates and continue supporting STRIVE’s work throughout North Jersey.”

STRIVE North Jersey launched in late 2025 with a pilot class of the organization’s Career Path program, initially focused on healthcare. The organization plans to introduce additional career pathways in logistics and construction, providing more opportunities for people seeking a new start, including individuals impacted by the justice system.

The North Jersey center serves Essex, Union and Hudson counties, with a particular focus on Newark and Jersey City.

Founded in East Harlem in 1984, STRIVE provides workforce development programs for people facing barriers to employment and career advancement. Its model combines career mindset training, in-demand technical skills and long-term support designed to help participants secure jobs and build lasting careers.

STRIVE has served more than 85,000 people since its founding and reports a 76% job placement rate. STRIVE North Jersey is the organization’s fifth major site, joining locations in New York, Birmingham, Atlanta and New Orleans. Through those sites and its nationwide affiliate network, STRIVE now has a presence in 15 locations.

The organization is working toward a national goal of serving 10,000 students annually by 2033.
