PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Florida – The PGA TOUR announced today that Doc Redman is the first player to achieve TOURBound status during the 2026 Korn Ferry Tour season, securing one of the 20 PGA TOUR cards for the 2027 season available via the Korn Ferry Tour.
After victories at the Astra Chile Classic presented by Scotiabank and Visit Knoxville Open, along with two additional top-10 finishes, Redman crossed the points threshold with a fourth-place finish at last week’s Pinnacle Bank Championship presented by Woodhouse with 1,438 points on the season.
In total, Redman has amassed 1,438 points via four top-10 finishes and three additional top-25s in 18 starts this season. His fourth-place finish at the Pinnacle Bank Championship presented by Woodhouse this past Sunday moved him back to the No. 1 position on the 2026 Korn Ferry Tour Points List and secured one of 20 PGA TOUR cards available through the Korn Ferry Tour.
The top 20 players on the Points List upon conclusion of the Korn Ferry Tour Championship presented by Virginia’s Richmond Region (Oct. 8-11) will earn PGA TOUR membership for the 2027 season. The No. 1 player will earn exemptions into the 2027 PLAYERS Championship and 2027 U.S. Open.
Should Redman earn a third victory prior to the conclusion of the 2026 season, he will secure an immediate promotion to the PGA TOUR, allowing him to join the TOUR’s priority ranking for the FedExCup Fall.
The Raleigh, North Carolina native turned professional in 2018 after two seasons at Clemson University, where he was a two-time All-America selection and won the 2017 U.S. Amateur at The Riviera Country Club, defeating Doug Ghim on the 37th hole.
Redman played four full seasons on the PGA TOUR (2020-23) after he earned Special Temporary Membership with a solo-second (as an open qualifier) at the 2019 Rocket Classic. He followed the accomplishment with consecutive FedExCup Playoffs appearances in 2020 and 2021. He was relegated to the Korn Ferry Tour after finishing No. 157 in the 2023 FedExCup Fall standings.
Redman finished No. 37 on the 2024 Korn Ferry Tour Points List, falling seven spots shy of a PGA TOUR card (top 30 players), but secured full status for the 2025 Korn Ferry Tour Season. He finished No. 138 on the 2025 Korn Ferry Tour Points List, leaving him without status for the 2026 season.
Redman advanced through Second Stage of 2025 PGA TOUR Q-School presented by Korn Ferry to Final Stage, where he finished T34, regaining Korn Ferry Tour status for the 2026 season (next 40 finishers and ties).
The 2026 Korn Ferry Tour Season continues this week with the Albertsons Boise Open presented by Chevron, the 20th of 25 scheduled events and the penultimate regular season event.
