Pinehurst Resort names Ethan Ganot vice president of marketing

PINEHURST, NC (August 18, 2026) — Pinehurst Resort today announces that it has named Ethan Ganot as Vice President of Marketing, bringing more than two decades of experience in leading marketing strategy, brand management, media, partnerships and content development to the historic and ever-evolving Resort.

Ganot joins Pinehurst following a career spanning golf, consumer brands and consulting. Most recently, he served as Head of Marketing for Foresight Sports and Bushnell Golf, where he led marketing efforts across the companies’ golf technology brands.

Prior to Foresight Sports, Ganot spent a decade with Callaway Golf, ultimately serving as Director of Marketing, overseeing Go To Market, media planning and execution, and public relations.

In his new role at Pinehurst, Ganot will lead the Resort’s marketing and partnership efforts as Pinehurst continues to grow as a premier destination not just for leisure, group and major championship golf, but for hospitality, culinary and wellness experiences. His experience in golf marketing, brand stewardship and media brings valuable perspective as Pinehurst continues to expand its reach and broaden its audience.

“I’m thrilled to join Pinehurst at such an exciting time for the Resort and for the game of golf,” says Ganot. “One of my strengths is putting myself in someone else’s shoes, understanding what’s important to them, what they value and how we can create experiences that exceed their expectations. Pinehurst is a special place with a remarkable history in the game and an equally exciting future, and I’m excited to help tell that story.”

“Ethan brings a rare combination of deep golf industry experience, strong marketing instincts and a genuine understanding of what makes a brand meaningful,” says Eric Kuester, Executive Vice President of Pinehurst Resort. “He knows the game, understands how to build lasting connections with consumers and has a clear appreciation for what makes Pinehurst unique. We’re excited to have him join our team and look forward to the perspective and energy he’ll bring as we continue to grow and share the Pinehurst story with new audiences around the world.”

Ganot joins Pinehurst during a period of significant investment across the Resort, with new and enhanced golf, dining, lodging, retail and wellness experiences taking shape.

That includes the continued maturation of Pinehurst No. 10, as well as the ongoing development of Pinehurst Sandmines and Coore & Crenshaw’s Pinehurst No. 11, which is expected to open in Spring 2027. In November, The Holly, Pinehurst’s first hotel dating to 1895, will begin a full renovation. A few months later, the newly renovated and refreshed Spa at Pinehurst is expected to reopen. Pinehurst also debuted the Cottages at No. 8 a year ago, further enhancing the guest experience with a new level of comfort and exclusivity.

More is to come, including a new 26-room Lodge and luxurious Cabin at Sandmines. On the course, the U.S. Women’s Amateur returns to Pinehurst in 2027, and the U.S. Women’s Open and U.S. Open will be played consecutively in 2029 on Pinehurst No. 2. Pinehurst Resort was the first Anchor Site of the U.S. Open.

As Pinehurst continues to evolve, Ganot is looking forward to helping shape and share these moments.

“I really appreciate and value authenticity and the people, places and brands that are genuine, but willing to try new things. Pinehurst is like that,” he says. “Pinehurst knows what it is, and it wants to do things the right way. But it’s also always looking ahead and setting the standard in American golf. I’m excited to join the team and contribute to all that’s ahead for Pinehurst.”

Ganot began his career in brand management at MillerCoors. He earned an MBA from Duke University and a bachelor’s degree in finance from Lehigh University.
