(BOSTON, 26 August 2026) Organized by the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) and SMK, global investment and trading platform moomoo today announced a landmark partnership to launch the inaugural ‘Futu Ladies World Championship Presented by Moomoo’ (“Futu Championship”) in Hong Kong, with a world-class field competing for a $3.4 million purse, the highest of any LPGA Tour event in Asia.
The new LPGA Hong Kong tournament will take place at The Clearwater Bay Golf & Country Club from 4 to 7 March 2027, marking the first LPGA Tour event in Hong Kong since 1976 and a thrilling finale to the LPGA’s 2027 spring Asia swing, which includes Tour events in Thailand and Singapore.
Partnering with the LPGA to bring the Futu Championship to the dynamic city of Hong Kong and featuring a 78-player field of the world’s top female golfers will be broadcast across approximately 130 countries. Moomoo aims to leverage the Futu Championship’s global reach and its own fintech ecosystem to further grow the visibility and appeal of women’s golf across the region.
The new tournament will be staged at Hong Kong’s internationally renowned The Clearwater Bay Golf & Country Club as part of the multi-year deal. Fondly dubbed the “Pebble Beach of Asia”, this scenic yet strategically challenging coastal course was instrumental in bringing the elite competition to Hong Kong. Athletes will contend against its championship‑calibre layout against a backdrop of stunning ocean vistas.

Separately, a local launch event will be held at The Clearwater Bay Golf & Country Club in Hong Kong on 27 August (Hong Kong Time).
