STAMFORD, Conn. – September 1, 2026 – This week on Golf Channel, the U.S. looks to defend its title at the 51st Walker Cup the 2026 Presidents Cup teams are finalized live today at 5 p.m. ET, and Golf Today turns its focus to the gridiron for a special NFL Preview Show on Wednesday.
THE WALKER CUP
The 51st Walker Cup will be contested at Lahinch Golf Club in County Clare, Ireland this week, with the United States’ tope amateur talent looking to defend their title and earn a fifth straight win in the biennial event. The U.S. won their fourth straight title in 2025 at Cypress Point Club in Pebble Beach, defeating Great Britian and Ireland 17-9.
Four foursomes matches and eight singles matches will be played on Saturday, with Golf Channel’s coverage beginning with foursomes at 3:30 a.m. ET and singles at 9 a.m. ET. On Sunday, four foursomes matches and 10 singles matches will be played, starting at 3 a.m. ET and 8:30 a.m. ET, respectively, on Golf Channel.
