(INDIAN WELLS, Ca.) – Indian Wells Golf Resort – the world-class golf, vacation, culinary and events destination located in the picturesque Coachella Valley – announces it will continue serving as the host venue of the season-ending Epson Tour Championship through 2029.
The City of Indian Wells and its municipality-owned Indian Wells Golf Resort have partnered with the Epson Tour as its championship host site since 2024. The 2026 event, held from Oct. 1 – 4, returns to the resort’s recently renovated and celebrated Players Course. In 2025, the tournament was contested on its acclaimed Celebrity Course during a renovation project on the Players layout.
With the 80-woman field playing a 72-hole no-cut, stroke-play format for a purse of $300,000, the four-day tournament marks the end of the 46th competitive season for the Official Qualifying Tour of the LPGA. For the first time in the event’s history, the winner of the Epson Championship will take home a six-figure payday. The total purse sits at $300,000, with $100,000 going straight to this year’s champion.
The three-year extension (2027 – 2029) between the City of Indian Wells and the Epson Tour will provide exciting enhancements to the championship. Starting next year, the City of Indian Wells will provide a complimentary hotel room at local resorts for every player in the field during the week of the tournament.
Additionally, the new partnership agreement will allow the Epson Tour to livestream the final two rounds of the championship as well as the LPGA card ceremony starting in 2027. The Epson Tour will also introduce an annual "Champions Dinner" at Indian Wells Golf Resort during the week. The dinner will honor all of the tournament winners from throughout the season that leads up to the dramatic Epson Tour Championship.

Completed in December 2025, the comprehensive renovation of The Players Course was led by acclaimed architect John Fought, who was the original designer of the acclaimed layout that opened in 2007. Headlining the most notable changes to the golf course is the redesign of the 9th, 17th and 18th holes. Previously separated from the rest of the golf course by the Whitewater Wash, the par-3 No. 17 and par-4 No. 18 holes have been relocated to the north side of the wash to streamline the dramatic home stretch. Additionally, the new par-3 ninth is now closer to the resort’s clubhouse to improve access to food and beverage amenities at the turn.
