(CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va.) — Keswick Hall, the 600-acre luxury resort in Virginia Wine Country, will host the Virginia State Golf Association (VSGA) Adaptive Golf Clinic and Play Day on Oct. 21 at the Keswick Golf Club, offering an inclusive day of play in the autumn Blue Ridge foothills for golfers with physical, cognitive, or sensory disabilities, as well as their families and friends.
Designed for maximum flexibility, the event offers three distinct segments for participants to mix and match:
- Complimentary Skills Clinic from 2-3 p.m. This session provides tailored, one-on-one instruction on the fundamentals of putting, chipping and full swings, with specialized adaptive equipment.
- On-Course Play Day from 3:30-5 p.m. Golfers can take their skills to the fairways for a 1.5-hour playing session ($20 registration fee).
- Social reception from 5:30-6:30 p.m. A relaxed hour featuring complimentary refreshments, bringing together players, families and friends to celebrate the day's achievements.
"Golf is a powerful equalizer, and our goal is to ensure that every individual feels the immense thrill and belonging that this sport can bring," says Keswick Hall General Manager Louis Shapazian. "By partnering with the VSGA to host this adaptive clinic and play day, we look forward to breaking down barriers on the course and providing the specialized tools and community support that empower these incredible athletes to thrive."
One of Pete Dye's final designs, Full Cry continues to rank among the most captivating and rewarding golf experiences in Virginia and the United States. Its accolades include a place on GOLF Magazine's "Top 100 Courses You Can Play in the U.S.," a strong ranking of No. 4 among Golfweek's "Best Courses You Can Play in Virginia," and recognition among Golfweek's "Top 200 Resort Courses in the U.S." Thoughtful enhancements completed in 2025 by architect Scot Sherman of Love Golf Design refined the layout while preserving Dye's creative genius.
"We are thrilled to share the inspiration of golf at Keswick Hall," adds Keswick Club General Manager and Director of Golf Rob McNamara. "However, we as the instructors will gain more inspiration from the strength, courage and ability of the participants at the Keswick Adaptive Golf Day. We look forward to a wonderful afternoon of golf and fellowship with our new friends."
Keswick Hall features 80 elegantly appointed guest rooms and inspiring dining led by world-renowned, multi-Michelin-starred chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten, including the signature Marigold restaurant.
