(NEW YORK) – AVA Golf, the first platform designed to transform golfers’ performance data into personalized improvement plans, has incorporated a new feature that allows users to connect their AVA Golf accounts with compatible AI assistants, including Claude and ChatGPT.
Golfers ask questions in their own words via text or voice about their rounds, practice sessions, performance trends, handicap history, bag composition and swing profiles to identify patterns in their games. Rather than navigating multiple data screens, they have the option to use an AI assistant – working in concert with AVA Golf’s MCP server – to review their individual statistics, understand where they are gaining or losing strokes and track their personal progressions over time.
The accuracy of feedback golfers receive from AVA Golf is vastly better than that from larger AI assistants which aren’t specifically programmed to share golf insights and leave much counsel to guesswork.
The new feature augments AVA Golf’s foundation of aggregating golfers’ data from simulators, launch monitors and on-course play across devices they use. This information is then translated into personalized video playlists – filmed exclusively for AVA Golf by Top 100 instructors – with recommendations and drills evolving as users’ games improve.
Common questions from AVA Golf subscribers are, “How did my last round go, hole by hole?,” “Where am I losing the most strokes over my last 10 rounds?” or “How has my handicap moved this season?” The AI assistant uses golfers’ own AVA Golf data to provide relevant responses, clearly sharing information that informs practice priorities, shot mechanics and on-course strategy.
“Golfers have access to more performance data than ever, but knowing what to do with that information is what ultimately matters,” said JR Charles, Founder and CEO of AVA Golf. “Connecting AVA Golf with conversational AI assistants gives golfers a new and efficient wayto inquire about their own games, uncover patterns and better understand where they should improve. It’s another step toward making performance data more actionable.”
Setting up the new feature is easy and available at no extra cost to anyone with an active AVA Golf subscription. Golfers simply add AVA Golf as a custom connector in a supported AI assistant, sign in to AVA Golf and authorize the connection. No additional application code is required.
Privacy and control are central to the experiences. AI assistants receive read-only access to the golfer’s AVA Golf data set and cannot make changes to the account. Users can review their AI assistants under Settings → Connections → Connected apps and revoke access at any time.
