JERSEY CITY, New Jersey (November 4, 2026) – The 2026 Families of Honor Golf Outing brought together Veterans, business leaders and community supporters last month at Forsgate Country Club in Monroe Township, New Jersey, raising funds to assist Veterans and Gold Star families.
The event was supported by Liberty National Foundation, the outing’s Presenting Sponsor, reflecting its commitment to organizations serving Veterans and military families throughout New York, New Jersey and across the country.
Founded by retired U.S. Marine Corps Lieutenant Colonel John Fitzsimmons, Families of Honor helps Veterans transition to civilian life through resources, mentorship and community connections. The organization also provides financial assistance and compassionate support to Gold Star families who have lost loved ones in military service, while bringing Veterans, families and communities together through special events.
This year's outing honored Mark Cornachio, a U.S. Marine Corps Veteran and Senior Property Manager at Cushman & Wakefield, in recognition of his military service and contributions to the community.
"Supporting Veterans and military families is a central part of our mission at the Liberty National Foundation," said Michael Brooks, Executive Director of the Liberty National Foundation. "Families of Honor recognizes the sacrifices made by those who have served our country and provides important assistance to their families. We're proud to help advance that mission and make a difference in the lives of Veterans and their loved ones."
"Events like this make it possible for us to continue providing meaningful assistance to Veterans and the families of those who made the ultimate sacrifice," said Fitzsimmons. "The generosity of the Liberty National Foundation and everyone who participated allows us to reach more families and provide the support they need. We're grateful for their commitment to our mission."
Proceeds from the outing will support Families of Honor's ongoing efforts to provide assistance, mentorship and meaningful connections for Veterans and Gold Star families.
