FIRST THOUGHT

The growth that we're seeing in green grass at golf courses has been led by younger and more diverse groups in recent years, according to the National Golf Foundation 2023 year-end statistics. "It's the younger people, perhaps to everyone’s surprise, who have driven the majority of the rounds growth that we have seen in these past three years," says NGF chief research officer David Lorentz, who reports that 71% of the rounds last year were played by the 50-and-under crowd. "The future is here and it is exciting."
