FIRST THOUGHT

Nearly a year since his last PGA Tour win, world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler is rounding into form at the right time. On Sunday, Scheffler, 27, won the Arnold Palmer Invitational by five strokes for his seventh PGA Tour win — the most by any player since the start of the 2021-22 season — and first since last year's Players Championship. In becoming the API's eighth multiple winner, Scheffler posted the largest margin of victory at the event since Tiger Woods won by five in 2012.
