FIRST THOUGHT

Wyndham Clark has had himself quite a 12-month stretch since the 2023 Players Championship. A year ago, he was No. 116 in the Official World Golf Ranking and finished T27 — providing no sign of what was to come. He went on to win the Wells Fargo Championship, the U.S. Open and then this year's AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. And with last week's runner-up finish at the Arnold Palmer Invitational, Clark moved to No. 5 in the OWGR, his first week inside the top five.
