Remember Kevin Streelman? On Thursday at the Valspar Championship, Streelman, 45, was flashing signs of his younger self, shooting a 7-under 64 to claim the suspended first-round lead. Streelman won this event in 2013 and his second PGA Tour victory came a year later at the Travelers Championship. The reason for the resurgence? A ball marker. “It’s kind of cool little new ball marker I’m using that is legal that can kind of give you some visual cues that I think is pretty helpful,” Streelman said. "I was using that today, which I think kind of helped, as well." Streelman totaled 10 one-putt greens and 24 total putts.
