Steve Stricker, the 12-time PGA Tour winner and 2021 U.S. Ryder Cup captain, is having quite the PGA Tour Champions season. Stricker is currently No. 1 in the season-long battle for the Charles Schwab Cup and, yet, has not won on Tour in over three months. So how is he doing it? Consistency. With a second-place finish at the Insperity Invitational on Sunday, Stricker is a perfect 6-for-6 in top-10 finishes this season.

DAVID CURTIS
PGA Teaching Professional, The Westin Rancho Mirage Golf Resort and Spa | Classic Club | Yocha Dehe Golf Club
The First Call: What is your favorite instructional tip to share with a golfer?
David Curtis: Your hands are the most important thing to control the clubface. Understand your natural grip style and wrist positions to hit any type of shot on command.
TFC: Do you have a preferred style or philosophy for teaching golf?
DC: My preferred style in teaching golf is that everyone has different athletic ability. You have to make the correct adjustment per person and not give the client too much information or make it complicated.
