With 12 top-10 finishes, including a pair of T2 finishes, in his first 27 major championship starts, Xander Schauffele had proven he had the game to eventually claim a major. But when? Turns out that it was on Sunday. Schauffele shot a final-round 6-under 65 at Valhalla Golf Club to win the PGA Championship. Schauffele set a new PGA Championship 72-hole scoring record (263) and his 21-under total is the lowest score in relation to par in major championship history. Also, Schauffele's 12 top-10s before winning a major was tied for the sixth longest such streak behind Fred Couples (14 top-10 finishes), Ben Crenshaw (16), Phil Mickelson (17), Tom Kite (19) and Sergio Garcia (22).
