The chant "U.S.A." was a loud and constant one during the U.S. Open's final round as Bryson DeChambeau made his way to winning his second major title. He became the sixth straight American to win a major championship, joining Brooks Koepka, Wyndham Clark, Brian Harman, Scottie Scheffler and Xander Schuaffele. That equals the longest U.S. streak since 1981-82: Bill Rogers (1981 Open Championship), Larry Nelson (1981 PGA Championship), Craig Stadler (1982 Masters), Tom Watson (1982 U.S. Open and 1982 Open Championship) and Raymond Floyd (1982 PGA Championship).
