In February, the R&A announced a new qualification category that would allow LIV Golf players entry into the Open Championship. Utilizing LIV Golf’s season-long Individual Championship standings, the highest-ranked player, not otherwise exempt, inside the top five of the standings after this week's LIV Golf Dallas will receive a spot in the Royal Portrush field in about a month. The top three players in the standings are already exempt — Joaquin Niemann, Bryson DeChambeau and Jon Rahm. That puts the No. 4 man on the bubble and that's currently Sergio Garcia. Garcia seeks to make his 26th Open Championship and 102nd major start. Garcia has 10 top-10 finishes in the Open, including runner-up results in 2007 and 2014. Lucas Herbert is less than seven points behind Garcia in the standings.
POLL
> Tommy Fleetwood, a seven-time DP World Tour winner, has 42 top-10 finishes in 159 starts on the PGA Tour — including a runner-up finish at the 2025 Travelers Championship. The total number of top-10 finishes is the most of any player without a win on Tour since 1983. Will Fleetwood ever win on the PGA Tour? | Vote
