The Open Championship field features 16 past Open champions, including the last four — Collin Morikawa (2021), Cameron Smith (2022), Brian Harman (2023) and Xander Schauffele (2024). However, the last 11 winners of the Open won the event for the first time, starting with Phil Mickelson in 2013. That stretch ties the longest streak of first-time winners at the Open (1994-2004).
